Background
Mr. Wicks is a company and commercial lawyer trained in
the City of London, with experience of corporate legal and
business matters in Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China and
has published in the Asian Law Journal and other publications.
He has acted in Europe and Asia for many international and
domestic clients in setting up foreign companies, handling
inward investment, import and export matters, questions of
banking and finance, joint ventures, distributorships and
share and asset acquisitions. He has handled a wide variety
of corporate and commercial work which has included joint
ventures; subscription agreements; agreements for the sale
and purchase of companies and assets; reductions of capital;
liquidations; establishment, amendment and amalgamation of
unit trusts; service agreements; deeds of partnership; loan
agreements; time-share documentation; formation of companies;
distribution and licence agreements; and rights issues by
listed companies.
As an active member of foreign trade organizations, Mr. Wicks
has assisted in the formulation of policy, led delegations
and participated in meetings with senior officials of government
and leaders of the business community.
